Congratulations are in order for Trinidadian Calypso & Reggae Soul Singer Annalie Prime, and Trinidadian Dancehall Artiste Tafari, who have both been nominated for the 7th Annual African Entertainment Awards USA (AEAUSA) taking place this year.
In case you’re not familiar, the African Entertainment Awards USA (AEAUSA) is a Non-Profit Organization established in New Jersey, USA to support, celebrate and uplift African Entertainment. The Awards celebrates and honors practitioners across all crafts and industry sectors, including Entertainment, Entrepreneurship, and Community Leadership. The organization’s aim is to showcase an Africa that is united, self-sufficient, and willing, and able to evoke social change that matters most in the communities of Africans all over the world.
Despite the challenges faced in 2020 due to the pandemic, the AEUSA dedicated team still managed to put together the first-ever outstanding virtual awards show that was streamed live on our youtube channel. And with the 2021 list of nominees out now and voting officially taking place from October to December, this year’s awards promise to be filled with surprises and an event to remember.
This year, nominated in the ‘Best Upcoming/ Local Artist’ category alongside (11) other nominees is Trinidad’s very own rising star, Annalie Prime. This nomination comes off the heels of her successful album ‘I Think Too Much’. In a post via Instagram Annalie shared the following sentiments with her fans:

Also nominated this year in the ‘Best New Artiste’ category is the ‘Bompton Law’ singer, Trinibad’s Dancehall Artiste Tafari who joins the list of 10 other nominees. Sharing the news via Instagram, this is what Tafari had to say:
